Flood of 2011
It was just two summers ago that we stood at this very spot in Vicksburg, MS and contemplated the history of this very building. It is sad to see the flood waters creep up this historic building. But the saddest thing is to think about all those whose lives have been impacted by the flood and the tornadoes that have hit our country this Spring.
In the midst of the tragedy and heartache I am thankful for the SBC Disaster Relief volunteers that give of their time, energy and finances to minister to those whose lives have been devastated. These volunteers are up at 3:00 am and may not go to bed until midnight! Pray that God would give them strength as they labor and that they would have boldness to share the Gospel!
