Burkina Faso Mission Trip Update #4
Burkina Faso Mission Trip Update #4
Sorry about not updating for a few days, I've been busy with Prom, the ACT and other things. I'll get straight to the information. Things have been slow there. Not all bad, but not all good. Saturday, they had an opportunity to share with a man named Mosu about the story of Moses, and Jeff shared his testimony. Mosu is not a believer. Sunday, Jeff preached at the church there, and they had the opportunity to share with an Islamic teacher. Dad thinks that he just wanted to debate with them. Jeff challenged him to read the Bible! Today (Monday) It is very hot there. They walked around for about 3 to 3 and a half hours this morning. They visited and shared a story with the chief of the other Sambla village. Jeff visited with an Islamic Imam, and they shared a story with a Muslim man too. He said that he would like time to process the story. They were really cold last night, even though it only got down to 75 to 80 degrees, it felt like it was 50 degrees because of the heat during the day. They may go to another village tomorrow to look around, because it is market day, and things will be slow. Dad told me that he saw a monkey today! Someone caught it in the bush and tied it to a tree. They tried to sell it to Jeff! Continue to pray for the team. Pray for their encouragement, discernment, and clarity of thought and speech.
